Typical carbon, catalytic-carbon, well-water or specialty-media systems. Usually low routine maintenance but may require a major media re-bed later.
Compact housings with replaceable filters. Lower purchase prices are common, but annual replacement cost can materially change 10-year value.
Filter + softener, conditioner or specialty stage. FilterTier scores the complete chain and uses the lowest-flow stage as the effective system flow.
A separate microbial-treatment stage. It does not remove PFAS or hardness, and its rated flow can become a system bottleneck.
